About
Digitally composed image using photoshop shapes to portray a stag in the woods. The image was printed in reverse on the cutting paper to provide a template for the cut. Once cut the design was placed directly behind the glass of the frame and held in place with acetate, the mount was then placed behind before closing up the front portion of the frame.
The backing paper was placed to the back of the frame.
By floating the cut in the frame, when light is cast across it produces shadows on the backing paper giving the entire image a 3D look.
